NihongoZamurai — 日本語侍
Have a wonderful experience using Japaneseー What is your goal for studying Japanese? I help you achieve that goal.
“Japanese is not the goal — it’s the door you walk through.”
I’m Taiga, a Japanese teacher based in Fukui. I fell in love with cross-cultural exchange while studying abroad in the UK and travelling around the world during my twenties.
After spending years inside a Japanese auto-industry company, I completed the 420-hour Japanese Language Teacher Training Course while still working, left to teach full-time, and have since guided 3,000+ private lessons.
My mission is simple: build a place where learners around the world can live their Japanese — not just study it.

Seven group lessons, each named after a moment in nature. We open with the Cherry Blossom Class (さくらクラス) for upper-beginners. The other six classes are launching soon — follow Instagram for the start date.

“Taiga explains grammar in a way that finally clicks. I started understanding anime without subtitles in just a few months — that felt unbelievable.”
“I tried apps for two years and learned nothing. One season with Taiga and I held a 30-minute conversation with my wife’s grandmother in Osaka.”
“The group chat is my favourite part. We help each other with homework and exchange voice memos — it feels like having Japanese-speaking friends already.”
